Curator's Notes
The uncoated interior provides all the nutritional properties that cast iron gives off in water as it boils. The curvilinear lines were the artisan's signature giving this teapot an especially significant quality as a symbol of the late Ogasawara, one of Japan's most celebrated iron masters.
